In this chapter: (1) "Council" means the Texas Diabetes Council. (2) "Person with diabetes" means a person diagnosed by a physician in accordance with nationally recognized standards as having diabetes. Acts 1989, 71st Leg., ch. 678, Sec. 1, eff. Sept. 1, 1989.
