S.C. Code Ann. § 35-11-405
in effectA person may not provide money services on behalf of a person not licensed pursuant to this chapter or not exempt pursuant to Section 35-11-110. A person that engages in that activity provides money services to the same extent as if the person were a licensee and is jointly and severally liable with the unlicensed or nonexempt person. Effect of Amendment 2024 Act No. 218, SECTION 1, in the first sentence, inserted "or not exempt pursuant to Section 35-11-110", and in the second sentence, inserted "and is jointly and severally liable with the unlicensed or nonexempt person".
