(720 ILCS 640/2) (from Ch. 23, par. 2370) Sec. 2. A person first convicted of improper supervision of a child shall be guilty of a petty offense and shall be fined not to exceed $25. A person so convicted a second time shall be guilty of a petty offense and shall be fined not to exceed $50. A person so convicted a third or subsequent time shall be guilty of a Class B misdemeanor.
