17.300.010 Purpose and definition. An overlay zone is a zoning district that encompasses one or more underlying zones and imposes additional or alternate requirements to those of the underlying zone. Overlay zones deal with special situations that are not appropriate to a specific district or that apply to several zones. (Ord. 2013-0020 § 1; Ord. 2013-0007 § 1)
