Sec. 18. (a) This section applies to vehicles and their component parts that are in either their current model year or in the immediately preceding six (6) model years when purchased by a recycling facility or automotive salvage rebuilder. (b) A recycling facility and automotive salvage rebuilder licensed under this chapter shall comply with the recordkeeping requirements under section 15 of this chapter for the purchase of a salvage motor vehicle or major component part. (c) A recycling facility or automotive salvage rebuilder that fails to comply with subsection (a) or (b) commits a Class A infraction. As added by P.L.179-2017, SEC.67.
