[Soil Conservation and Domestic Allotment Act; amendment.]

in effect(a) Section 8(b) of the Soil Conservation and Domestic Allotment Act, as amended, is further amended by striking out the words ‘in the continental United States, except in Alaska,’ and inserting in lieu thereof the words ‘in the States of the Union, except Alaska,’.
“(b) Section 17(a) of the Soil Conservation and Domestic Allotment Act, as amended, is further amended to read as follows: ‘This Act shall apply to the States, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands, and, as used in this Act, the term “State” includes Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.’
