Each day of each violation of a safety standard adopted under this subchapter is subject to a civil penalty of not more than $200,000, except that the maximum penalty that may be assessed for any related series of violations may not exceed $2 million. The penalty is payable to the state. Acts 2013, 83rd Leg., R.S., Ch. 104 (S.B. 900 ), Sec. 6, eff. September 1, 2013.
