(a) A person commits an offense if the person has cause to believe that a resident's physical or mental health or welfare has been or may be further adversely affected by abuse, neglect, or exploitation and knowingly fails to report in accordance with Section 260A.002 . (b) An offense under this section is a Class A misdemeanor. Added by Acts 2011, 82nd Leg., 1st C.S., Ch. 7 (S.B. 7 ), Sec. 1.05(c), eff. September 28, 2011.
