(a) The district may not impose an assessment or tax on a single-family residential property that: (1) is in the territory described by Section 2 of the Act creating the district; and (2) exists as of the effective date of the Act enacting this chapter. (b) Section 375.161 , Local Government Code, does not apply to the district. Added by Acts 2011, 82nd Leg., R.S., Ch. 1191 (H.B. 3827 ), Sec. 1, eff. June 17, 2011.
