(a) The mayor and members of the governing body of the City of Dickinson shall appoint voting directors from persons recommended by the board. A person is appointed if a majority of the members of the governing body, including the mayor, vote to appoint that person. (b) Section 375.063 , Local Government Code, does not apply to the district. Added by Acts 2005, 79th Leg., Ch. 458 (S.B. 1866 ), Sec. 1, eff. June 17, 2005.
