Miss. Code Ann. § 63-17-17
in effectAny person violating any of Sections 63-17-1 through 63-17-9, shall, upon conviction, be fined not more than Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) or imprisoned in the county jail not more than six (6) months, or be both so fined and imprisoned.
