(a) The attorney general shall: (1) act as legal advisor of the board; (2) provide legal assistance to the board as necessary to enforce this chapter or Chapter 1071 and make those laws effective; and (3) represent the board in an action brought to enforce this chapter or Chapter 1071 . (b) This section does not affect the duties of local prosecuting officers. Added by Acts 2001, 77th Leg., ch. 1421, Sec. 1, eff. June 1, 2003.
