(720 ILCS 5/24-3.7) Sec. 24-3.7. Use of a stolen firearm in the commission of an offense. (a) A person commits the offense of use of a stolen firearm in the commission of an offense when he or she knowingly uses a stolen firearm in the commission of any offense and the person knows that the firearm was stolen. (b) Sentence. Use of a stolen firearm in the commission of an offense is a Class 2 felony. (Source: P.A. 96-190, eff. 1-1-10.)
