(a) The commission may request from each licensing authority the name, address, social security number, license renewal date, and other identifying information for each individual who holds, applies for, or renews a license issued by the authority. (b) A licensing authority shall provide the requested information in the manner agreed to by the commission and the licensing authority. (c) The commission may enter into a cooperative agreement with a licensing authority to administer this chapter in a cost-effective manner. (d) The commission may adopt a reasonable implementation schedule for the requirements of this section. Added by Acts 1997, 75th Leg., ch. 1153, Sec. 5.01(a), eff. Sept. 1, 1997.
