(a) The voters of the 69th Judicial District elect a district attorney. (b) Any commissioners court in the district may supplement the state salary of the district attorney in an amount set by the commissioners court. In addition, a commissioners court may compensate the district attorney for the prosecution of misdemeanors in the manner and amount determined by the commissioners court.
