(a) March 4 is COVID-19 Heroes and Memorial Day in honor of people who lost their lives to COVID-19 and in honor of health care workers, first responders, and other essential workers who kept working during the COVID-19 pandemic so the public could stay safe. (b) COVID-19 Heroes and Memorial Day shall be regularly observed by appropriate ceremonies and activities. Added by Acts 2023, 88th Leg., R.S., Ch. 900 (H.B. 2166 ), Sec. 1, eff. September 1, 2023.
