(305 ILCS 5/6-5) (from Ch. 23, par. 6-5) Sec. 6-5. Medical practitioners. In supplying persons receiving basic maintenance support with necessary treatment, care, and supplies required because of illness or disability or with acute medical treatment, care, and supplies a local governmental unit may provide for the services of persons designated in Section 5-8 of Article V.
