(625 ILCS 5/1-112.2) (from Ch. 95 1/2, par. 1-112.2) Sec. 1-112.2. Converter or second stage manufacturer. A person who prior to the retail sale of a motor vehicle, assembles, installs or affixes a body, cab, or special equipment to a chassis, or who adds, subtracts from, or modifies a previously assembled or manufactured motor vehicle.
