(625 ILCS 5/3-502) (from Ch. 95 1/2, par. 3-502) Sec. 3-502. New owner must secure new registration. The transferee before operating or permitting the operation of such vehicle upon a highway shall apply for and obtain the registration thereof, as upon an original registration, except as otherwise permitted in Sections 3-401, 3-503 and 3-504.
