12.40.070 Access for utilities, freight, emergency and municipal services.

Any gates, barriers, or other control devices installed to restrict vehicular or pedestrian traffic through any alley, when authorized by the city council pursuant to Section 12.40.020 of this chapter, shall be installed and/or operated in such manner that adequate access is maintained: A. For the maintenance, operation, replacement, removal, or renewal of utility facilities existing in or accessible through the alley; and B. For the delivery of freight by commercial vehicles; and C. For the operation of emergency vehicles; and D. For the performance of municipal services. (Prior code § 38.17.256)
