15.100.160 Fire department standpipe connection locations.
Fire department standpipe connections shall be located not less than fifteen (15) feet or more than fifty (50) feet from a fire hydrant and not more than thirty (30) feet from a paved roadway. Fire department standpipe connections shall not be placed within an alley, nor shall they be less than one hundred fifty (150) feet apart. A. Location of standpipe connections shall be approved by the fire department. B. Additional fire hydrants shall be installed as required by the fire department in order to satisfy the conditions of this chapter. C. Fire department standpipe connections shall be located in a manner so that they are not subject to damage. (Prior code §§ 9.28.1215, 15.09.904)
