15.100.730 Seismic consideration.
The anchorage of all equipment required by this section shall be designed in accordance with Section 2312 of the Uniform Building Code, for a lateral force based on a Cp value of 0.75, unless data substantiating a lesser value is furnished. Verification of such conformance shall be substantiated by a licensed structural engineer for the following equipment: A. Elevator drive and suspension systems; B. Standby and emergency power including lighting facilities; C. Fire pumps, automatic fire extinguishing system, including piping and other fire protection equipment; D. Air-handling equipment regulated by this title; E. Fire alarm equipment; F. Helistops. (Prior code §§ 9.28.1272, 15.16.1601)
