2.124.1270 Death benefit after retirement.
Upon the death of a member after retirement and regardless of the cause of death, the sum of five hundred dollars ($500.00) shall be paid to his or her designated beneficiary, or if none, or if the designated beneficiary has died, or is otherwise ineligible, then to the estate of the member.
