2.126.040 Appointment of members; qualifications; terms.

A. Number of members. The commission has 19 members. 1. Each councilmember shall recommend two members for appointment (16 members total); 2. The mayor shall recommend three members for appointment. B. Qualifications. In addition to any requirements or restrictions in chapter 2.40: 1. All members must be at least 14 years old and not older than 22 years old at the time of appointment. 2. All members must live in the city or attend school in the city for the duration of their appointment. 3. Members must not be family relatives, as defined in section 2.16.140, of any member of the city council. C. Terms. The term of each seat on the commission is a period of two years.
