3.132.400 Procedure following election.
A. If a majority of the votes cast is in favor of the levy of the assessment, the city council may in its discretion approve the assessment report as submitted or may modify it and approve it as modified, except that the city council may not increase the amount of any assessment or maximum assessment as stated in the report. Approval of the report shall constitute the levy of the assessments for the ensuing fiscal year. B. If a majority of the votes cast is against the levy of the assessment, the city council shall abandon the assessment proceedings. (Prior code § 83.05.595)
