5.28.1660 Discretion in commission.
Notwithstanding the provisions of Sections 5.28.1640 and 5.28.1650 of this chapter, in any instance in which the franchisee is (1) a unit of government, (2) a nonprofit public benefit corporation, or (3) a corporation whose rates, fees, and charges are established by a unit of government, the cable television commission may establish such lesser amount, or none at all, for the corporate surety bond specified by Section 5.28.1640 of this chapter and for the security deposit specified by Section 5.28.1650 of this chapter as it, in its sole and complete discretion, deems appropriate. Nothing contained in this section shall be deemed to require any such reduced amount to be established. (Prior code § 20.08.703)
