§ 18.160.100 — "J" Definitions

Junk. Any worn out, cast off, or discarded article of material which is ready for destruction or has been collected or stored for salvage or conversion to some other use. Any article or material which, unaltered or unchanged and without further reconditioning, can be used for its original purpose as readily as when new, shall not be considered junk. Junkyard. The use of any lot or portion thereof for the storage of junk, including scrap metals, salvage, or other scrap materials, or for the dismantling or “wrecking” of automobiles or other vehicles or machinery, whether for sale or storage.
