§ 13-391 State supervision. The superintendent of insurance may examine the affairs of the variable supplements fund with the same powers and jurisdiction as are applicable in the case of an examination of a life insurance company by the superintendent under article three of the insurance law. The variable supplements fund shall be subject to assessment for expenses pursuant to the provisions of section three hundred thirteen of the insurance law, but shall not be subject to assessment under any of the provisions of section three hundred thirty-two of such law.
