18-28-508.2 Compensating hoods. Manufacturers of compensating hoods shall provide a label indicating minimum exhaust flow and maximum makeup airflow that provides capture and containment of the exhaust effluent. A minimum of the first, four feet of makeup air duct starting at the hood shall be of the same gauge as the exhaust duct. A fire damper shall be installed between the heavier- and lighter-gauge ductwork.
