14X-5-505.2.1 Ceiling height. Means of egress must have a ceiling height of not less than 7 feet (2.1 m) from the floor, with no projection below 6 feet 8 inches (2033 mm) from the floor. Exception: Within dwelling units a ceiling height of not less than 6 feet 8 inches (2033 mm) from the floor is allowed.
