14X-12-1202.6.1 Small openings. Openings less than or equal to 1 square foot (0.1 m2) in area may be boarded with plywood, provided that the boarding is made weathertight and finished with varnish or paint of a similar color to the exterior wall and cut to the inside dimension of the exterior of the opening, and otherwise secured to the satisfaction of the building official.
