(a) Rooftops in the Wrigley Field Adjacent Area may be open for business only on:
(1) game days,
(2) on days with a Wrigley Field production and
(3) private event days.
(b) Patronage of the rooftops may be for exclusive invitees only.
(c) Private event days.
(1) A rooftop may be open for business a maximum of 25 private event days per calendar year.
(2) Only one private event may take place on a calendar day.
(3) The licensee shall email notice of the private event days to the alderman of the ward and to the Department of Business Affairs and Consumer Protection at least 7 days prior to the first private event day in a calendar year and, if all 25 private event days are not designated at that time, then no later than 7 days prior to the previously undisclosed private event day.
(d) The rooftops may only be open from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m.
(e) Alcoholic liquor.
(1) On game days and on days with a Wrigley Field production, alcoholic liquor may be served beginning two (2) hours prior to the scheduled start of the game or event, and closing no more than one (1) hour after completion of the game or event.
(2) On private event days, alcoholic liquor may be served from 11:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. and may only be served in conjunction with the private event.
(3) However, regardless of the scheduled start time or of completion of the game, Wrigley Field production, or on a non-game day or day without a Wrigley Field production, alcoholic liquor may not be served on rooftops after 11:00 p.m. from Sunday through Thursday, after 11:59 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and prior to 11:00 a.m. Sunday.
(f) This Section 4-388-120 shall sunset of its own accord without further action of the City Council on December 31, 2027.
