14X-3-308.5 Occupant. Occupants are responsible for the continued rodent and pest-free condition of the structure and must keep that part of the premises they are entitled to occupy and control free from infestation by insects, rodents, and similar pests. An occupant is responsible for pest elimination where the infestation is limited to the occupant’s unit. Exception: Where an infestation is caused by defects in the structure, the owner is responsible for pest elimination.
