Sec. 290. Appointment and Removal; Qualifications; Assistants. The City Administrative Officer shall be appointed and removed as provided in Section 508. The City Administrative Officer shall have administrative and executive ability as demonstrated by five years experience at the executive or administrative level within ten years immediately preceding appointment to the position of City Administrative Officer. The City Administrative Officer may appoint and remove as many assistants as may be authorized by the Charter and ordinance.
