Sec. 20.56. Taking Charge of the Accounting Function [Charter Section 261(c)]. If the Controller takes charge of all or any part of the accounting function of a department or office pursuant to Charter Section 261(c), the Controller shall, within five days thereafter, give notice of such action to the Mayor and Council. The Notice shall state the facts upon which the Controller’s finding of serious failings in accounting practices is based, and a copy of the Notice shall also be filed with the City Clerk. The same notification requirements shall apply when the Controller returns control of all or a part of the accounting function to a department or office. SECTION HISTORY Added by Ord.
