§ 42-01 Fees for the Release of Stolen Motor Vehicles. Any stolen motor vehicle seized by the City Sheriff pursuant to section four hundred twenty-four of the Vehicle and Traffic Law shall be released to the owner upon payment of the following fees: 1. Seventy dollars for towing the vehicle from the place where the vehicle was recovered to the storage yard; 2. Fifteen dollars a day for the first three days of storage; and 3. Seventeen dollars a day for the fourth day of storage and for each day thereafter.
