SEC. 91.2202. STRUCTURAL STEEL AND COMPOSITE STRUCTURAL STEEL AND CONCRETE. (Added by Ord. No. 188,797, Eff. 12/31/25.) Section 2202 of the CBC is adopted by reference and LAMC Subsection 91.2202.3.3 is added. 91.2202.3.3. Section F2. Modify Section F2.5 Item (5b) by adding the following: (d) The use of rectangular HSS are not permitted for bracing members, unless filled solid with cement grout having a minimum compressive strength of 3000 psi (20.7 MPa) at 28 days. The effects of composite action in the filled composite brace shall be considered in the sectional properties of the system where it results in the more severe loading condition or detailing.
