600.8725. Issuance of citation; fee prohibited; violation. Sec. 8725. (1) An authorized local official issuing a citation under this chapter for a municipal civil infraction shall not accept a fee for issuing the citation. (2) An authorized local official who violates this section is guilty of misconduct in office and subject to removal from office. Add. 1994, Act 12, Eff. May 1, 1994
