§ 13-629 Transfer of officers and employees to the department of traffic. Notwithstanding the provisions of any other general, special or local law, officers and employees of any agency may, with the consent of the head of such agency, be transferred to the department of traffic in accordance with the provisions of the civil service law and the rules and regulations of the municipal civil service commission. Officers and employees of any agency who are members of any pension or retirement system and who are transferred to the department of traffic, pursuant to the provisions of this subchapter, shall continue to be members of such pension or retirement system and shall continue to have the rights, privileges, obligations and status with respect to membership in such pension or retirement system as though they had remained members of the agency from which they were transferred.
