14R-8-807 Electrical. The provisions of Section 807 of IEBC are adopted by reference with the following modifications: 1. Revise Section 807.2 to read: "807.2 Existing installations. Existing wiring in all work areas in Group A-1, A-5, H and I occupancies shall be upgraded to meet the materials and methods requirements of Chapter 7." 2. Revise Section 807.3 and its subsections to read: "807.3 Residential occupancies. In Group R-2, R-3, R-4 and R-5 occupancies, work areas located within a dwelling unit shall comply with Article 570 of the Chicago Electrical Code, regardless of the height of the building."
