Sec. 4.880. Construction.

a. Nothing in this chapter shall be construed to deny any person or employee the rights granted by Federal and State laws and the provisions of the City Charter. b. The rights, powers and authority of the City Council in all matters, including the right to maintain any legal action, shall not be modified or restricted by this chapter. c. The enactment of this chapter shall not be construed as making the provisions of Section 923 of the California Labor Code applicable to employees of the City. d. The provisions of this chapter are not intended to conflict with provisions of the Meyers-Milias-Brown Act. SECTION HISTORY Added by Ord. No. 141,527, Eff. 3-5-71.
