2-112-310 Impersonation of Department personnel prohibited.

No person shall falsely assume or pretend to be an officer, inspector, or employee of the Department. Nor shall any person not authorized by the Department: (a) Wear in public the uniform adopted and used by the Department; (b) Wear or use any badge, star or device adopted and used by the Department; (c) Produce or display any badge, star or device adopted and used by the Department and thereby obtain free passage upon any public conveyance or commit by other fraudulent act by means thereof; (d) Counterfeit or imitate or cause to be counterfeited or imitated any badge, star or device adopted and used by the Department; (e) Wear or use any badge, star or device similar in appearance to that adopted by the Department.
