2-16-010 Chicago Animal Care and Control - Establishment and composition.

There is hereby established an executive department of the municipal government of the City which shall be known as Chicago Animal Care and Control, which shall have the powers and duties set forth in this chapter. The Department shall be administered by an Executive Director, who shall be appointed by the Mayor, subject to approval by the City Council, and staffed by such other employees as may be provided for in the annual appropriation ordinance. Words and phrases used in this chapter shall have the meaning set forth in Section 7-12-020, unless the context indicates otherwise. (Added Coun. J. 11-16-16, p. 37901, Art. I, § 1; Amend Coun.
