14B-33-3322 Safeguarding roofing operations.

The following language is adopted as a new Section 3322: "3322. SAFEGUARDING ROOFING OPERATIONS 3322.1 General. Roofing operations utilizing heat-producing systems or other ignition sources shall be conducted in accordance with the Chicago Fire Prevention Code. 3322.2 Asphalt and tar kettles. Asphalt and tar kettles shall be operated in accordance with the Chicago Fire Prevention Code. 3322.3 Fire extinguishers for roofing operations. Fire extinguishers shall comply with the Chicago Fire Prevention Code. There shall be not less than one multiple-purpose portable fire extinguisher with a minimum 3-A 40-B:C rating on the roof being covered or repaired."
