14X-5-505.13 Exit signs.

Exit signs must comply with Section 1013 of the Chicago Building Code. Exceptions: 1. Existing exit signs lettered "STAIRS" or "STAIRWAY" may remain at locations where a "STAIR" sign is required by the Chicago Building Code. 2. Existing exit signs installed prior to December 31, 1960, and otherwise required to be lettered "STAIR," may be lettered "EXIT."
