9-120-050 Alteration of serial number prohibited.
It shall be unlawful to destroy, remove, alter, cover or deface the manufacturer's serial number on any bicycle. It shall be unlawful for any person to own or have custody of a bicycle, the original manufacturer's serial number of which has been destroyed, removed, altered, covered or defaced. Any person who violates any of the provisions of this section shall be fined not more than $200.00 for each offense. (Prior code § 29.1-5; Amend Coun. J. 7-12-90, p. 18634)
