Section FGC 604: Vented Gas Fireplaces (Decorative Appliances)

604.1 General. Vented gas fireplaces shall be tested in accordance with ANSI Z21.50/CSA 2.22, shall be installed in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and shall be designed and equipped as specified in Section 602.2. 604.2 Access. Panels, grilles and access doors that are required to be removed for normal servicing operations shall not be attached to the building.
