Las Vegas Municipal Code § 11.18.010 Crosswalk and safety zone establishment.

11.18.010 - Crosswalk and safety zone establishment. The City Traffic Engineer is authorized: (A) To designate and maintain, by appropriate devices, marks or lines upon the surface of the roadway, crosswalks at intersections where in his opinion there is particular danger to pedestrians crossing the roadway, and at such other places as he may deem necessary; (B) To establish safety zones of such kind and character and at such places as he may deem necessary for the protection of pedestrians. Las Vegas Municipal Code § 11.18.020 School crossings.

11.18.020 - School crossings. The City Traffic Engineer is authorized to mark and maintain with yellow paint or road buttons crosswalks approximately twelve feet in width at intersections in the vicinity of schools where in the opinion of the City Traffic Engineer crossing the roadway by schoolchildren is unsafe. The City Traffic Engineer, if necessary, is further authorized to mark and maintain with a distinguishing color or road buttons upon the pavement or by signs erected along the curb in a conspicuous manner, the words "School-Xing," not less than one hundred feet in advance of each crosswalk established, and it shall be unlawful for the operator of any vehicle to drive into a crosswalk where there is displayed a sign with the words "School-Xing," when there is in the crosswalk upon the side of the roadway on which said vehicle is coming any person attempting to cross the street. Las Vegas Municipal Code § 11.18.030 Traffic lanes.

11.18.030 - Traffic lanes. (A) The City Traffic Engineer is authorized to mark traffic lanes upon the roadway of any street or highway where a regular alignment of traffic is necessary. (B) Where such traffic lanes have been marked, it shall be unlawful for the operator of any vehicle to fail or refuse to keep such vehicle within the boundaries of any such lane except when lawfully passing another vehicle or preparatory to making a lawful turning movement.
