Form an LLC with crypto: pay in USDC on Solana

Yes, you can form a U.S. LLC and pay for it in crypto. Corpus forms LLCs in 50 states plus the District of Columbia and takes payment in USDC on Solana, or by card. The price is quoted in U.S. dollars and is the same either way. You pay from your own Solana wallet, and a person at Corpus reviews the filing before it goes to the state unless you choose to skip that review on an eligible expedited filing.

That’s the whole crypto menu: one token on one network. No Bitcoin, no Ether, no USDT, and no USDC on other chains. If that fits how you hold money, the rest of this page is how it works and where the limits are.

How paying in USDC works

  1. Build the order. Answer the formation questions on Corpus. You see the state fee, the first year of registered-agent service and Corpus’s fee before you pay.
  2. Choose USDC at checkout. The payment page shows your price in dollars, a QR code to scan with your phone’s camera, and, if your wallet can’t scan it, the address and the exact amount to send by hand. The QR code is a Solana Pay transaction request, so your wallet shows the amount and recipient before you approve.
  3. Send the exact amount, once. The amount runs to six decimal places; the last digits are a fraction of a cent that identify your order. Send it in one payment. You pay the network fee in SOL.
  4. Wait for finality. The payment counts once a finalized transfer matches the recipient, token, network and amount on your checkout. The page then shows the transaction.
  5. Review, then filing. Payment confirmation is not filing confirmation. A person reviews your filing before Corpus submits it to the state, unless you chose to skip that review on an expedited filing.

Pay from a wallet you control

The checkout names wallets that work with it: Phantom (scan with the camera), Backpack, Exodus and Solflare, or any wallet that can send USDC on Solana by address.

Why it matters: a refund goes back only to the address that sent the payment. Paying straight from an exchange can still be credited if the exact amount arrives in one payment, but a refund would go back to the exchange, not to you. Corpus won’t send a refund to a different address given by email or chat. Corpus terms.

What paying in crypto doesn’t change

  • The filing is the same: same state, same documents, same review.
  • State fees go to the state and aren’t refundable once the state has been paid.
  • Your LLC still needs its own bank account and tax setup after it’s formed. The after-formation guide covers the order.
  • Nothing renews by itself. A USDC payment is never charged again automatically.

Questions people ask before paying in crypto

Can I pay for an LLC with Bitcoin, Ether or SOL?

No. Corpus accepts one token on one network: USDC on Solana. To pay with another coin, convert it to USDC on Solana in your own wallet first, or pay by card.

Can I send USDT, or USDC on Ethereum or Base?

No. Only USDC on Solana is credited. A transfer on another chain or in another token may not be credited or recoverable, so check the network and the token mint shown at checkout before you send.

Does paying in USDC cost more than paying by card?

No. Your price is quoted in U.S. dollars and is the same either way. The USDC amount differs from it by a fraction of a cent: those last digits identify your order. You pay the Solana network fee, in SOL, so keep a little SOL in the wallet.

Can I pay straight from Coinbase, Kraken or Binance?

An exchange withdrawal can be credited if the exact amount shown at checkout arrives in one USDC payment. But a refund only ever goes back to the address that sent the payment, which for a withdrawal is the exchange, not you. If you might need a refund, pay from a wallet you control.

What if I send the wrong amount?

Send the exact amount in one payment. A short payment isn't completed by a second top-up, and an overpayment isn't applied or returned automatically. Either one goes to manual review: email support@corpuslaw.us with your order link and the transaction signature, and don't send another payment.

When does my payment count?

When Corpus sees a finalized USDC transfer that matches the recipient, token, network and amount shown at checkout. A transaction you have only broadcast isn't payment yet.

Does a confirmed payment mean my LLC is filed?

No. Payment confirmation is not filing confirmation. A person at Corpus reviews the filing before it goes to the state, unless you chose to skip that review on an expedited filing. Your order page shows when the filing is submitted.

How do refunds work for a USDC payment?

You can ask for a full refund before Corpus begins processing your filing. A USDC refund is sent by hand, only to the wallet that sent the original payment, and never to an address given by email or chat. Corpus doesn't promise an on-chain refund time. State fees already paid to the state aren't refundable.

Will Corpus charge my wallet again next year?

No. A USDC payment can't be charged again automatically. Renewing the registered agent after the first year is always a new payment you choose to make.

Is my payment private?

Your wallet address and the transaction are public on the Solana ledger. Don't put your name or order details in a transaction memo.

Can my AI agent pay for me?

Yes. An agent connected to Corpus's MCP server can run the intake and create a USDC checkout for you. You still send the payment from your own wallet. Then Corpus emails you a confirmation link: nothing is filed until you click it. If you don't confirm within 48 hours, the order is flagged for a manual refund; the on-chain refund is not automatic.

How is crypto taxed inside an LLC?

That's a separate question from how you pay for the filing, and Corpus doesn't give tax advice. Start with the IRS's digital assets page and ask a tax professional about your situation.

Tax questions: IRS digital assets. Agent setup: Corpus MCP server.

Pick your state and see the full price before you pay. Paying in USDC is one option at the end, not a different product. Comparing services first? The honest comparison scores Corpus by the same rubric as everyone else.
