§129.0902 When a Fire Permit Is Required (a) No fire suppression systems, fire alarm system, or component of such systems, shall be installed within any structure or premises nor shall any alteration, addition, or replacement be made in any such existing fire suppression or fire alarm system unless a Fire Permit has been obtained for the work. (b) A Fire Permit is not required for the maintenance of fire suppression and fire alarm systems pursuant to Chapter 9 in the California Fire Code.
